Born in Padua in 1949, Manuela Dviri is a journalist and writer living between Tel Aviv and Tuscany.
After her son Yoni was killed in the Lebanon war in 1998, she started to work as a peace activist. Among her projects, "Saving the Children", in association with the Peres Center for Peace. The project has had thousands of Palestinian children treated in Israeli hospitals.
Manuela Dviri recently participated in a visit with the Pope, along with Shimon Peres and Abu Mazen.
